Pona is our special beauty who defeated cancer ❤️

Don't be frightened by her story. Yes, Pona is a girl who had cancer. But the scariest part is already behind us.

Since 2018, she has been fighting skin lymphoma. Five long years of treatment, countless procedures, chemotherapy courses, complications… Five years of fighting for her life.

And in 2023, we got what we fought so long for — we defeated this terrible disease.
Pona persevered. We literally snatched her from the clutches of death.

Today Pona is 11 years old. And she wants to live. She wants to live many more happy years. But most of all, I want her to spend these years not in a shelter, but at home.

Pona has been living in the shelter for four years now. For four long years she has been snuggling up to humans, waiting for affection, watching others being taken home… And, probably, she doesn't understand: why isn't it her again? What is wrong with her?

And there is nothing wrong with her. Pona is just a special girl with a complex story.

I believe with all my heart that her person is out there somewhere. Someone who won't be frightened by her age and past. Someone who will see in her not a diagnosis, but a living soul that has been through so much and still continues to love humans.

I really want Pona to finally learn one day what it means to be a pet at home. To have her own family, her own bed, her own hands to snuggle into. To be not one of many in a shelter, but someone's dearest one.

Pona has already defeated cancer.
Now all that's left is to wait for her human. ❤️
